What is the Glimmer Guild Mail Club?

The Glimmer Guild Mail Club is a monthly snail mail subscription meant to offer creative inspiration and connect you with your intuition.

What is a "glimmer"?

A "glimmer" is the little moments of creative inspiration that you might feel from a beautiful view, an overheard conversation, a great song, a favorite book. The monthly Glimmer Guild envelope serves as an invitation to tune in to your glimmers, and to follow them wherever they take you. The descriptive story, vivid artwork prints and writing/intuition prompts will help you capture your glimmers.

Do I need to be an artist/writer/creative to enjoy the monthy envelope?

Not at all! The contents of the envelope can be enjoyed by anyone who wants to receive artwork and a short story straight to your mailbox every month. This mail club is also excellent for fantasy readers, TTRPG players looking to add to their campaign, and cartomancers (tarot/oracle card readers) looking to connect further with their intuition.

Are there different ways to engage with each month's offering?

Yes! The mail club is specifically created so that the artwork and the story remain a secret until you choose to open them. This means that artists can choose to read only the story and create artwork based on the images that come to their mind from the words alone. Writers can choose to open only the artwork and writing prompts to see what story glimmers they come up with for the detailed art prints before reading Emma's interpretation of the artwork in the short story. Whether you choose to slowly unveil the contents of the envelope or open each element at once, however you choose to engage with the monthly offering is up to you!

Do I have to choose a "path" when I subscribe?

Not at all. Every envelope contains the same contents (for more info, check the "What comes in the envelope" question below). You can decide month to month how you choose to engage.

Can I share what I create based on the mailings?

Absolutely! I love seeing what glimmers you catch. You can use #glimmerguild on TikTok and Instagram to share your envelope opening, artwork and short stories inspired by the contents.

Can I sell work inspired by the prompts or art?

Of course— your glimmers are yours to keep, and the goal is to provide inspiration that leads to creating original work. However, please be mindful of creating your own interpretations of the art and story, and do not directly reproduce or sell the artwork or stories in the envelopes.

What Will I Receive?

What comes in the envelope?

Each envelope contains a wax-sealed short fantasy story, a vinyl sticker, and a separately wrapped 5x7 art print with writing/intuition prompts on the back and a 3.5x5 oracle card of the artwork. Extra goodies will be included where possible!

Is it the same every month?

Each month you will receive a new story, sticker, and artwork. The packaging may change from month to month as well.

Are the contents of the envelope exclusive to members?

Glimmer Guild members are the first to get to see the secret artwork and story. The artwork and story won't be shared on social media for marketing purposes until after all of the envelopes are shipped out. Past art prints may be available in the online shop (in progress), but members will be the only ones to access them the month they are released.

Can I see what I will receive this month before purchasing?

In order to create the secret nature of the mail club that allows members to find their own path to their glimmers, the artwork will not be posted by the artist until after the envelopes have been sent out. However, you can look through the artist's past work to get a sense of the style and contents of past envelopes on Tiktok @specklore. Subscription, Billing & Shipping

How much does the subscription cost?

For US residents, the $10 price covers shipping. For international residents, an additional $1 will be added at checkout to cover shipping costs.

When will I be charged?

Members will be charged immediately upon signing up, and then on the 1st of each following month.

When do the envelopes ship each month?

The envelopes ship mid-late month (15th-25th).

What's the cutoff to receive the current month's envelope?

In order to receive the current month's artwork, signups must be made by the 25th of the month. Any signups between the 25th and the 1st will roll into the following month.

Can I cancel at any time?

Of course! In order to cancel, visit the customer portal (linked in each subscription email). For any problems with your subscription or cancelling, reach out to the artist through the contact page.

Where do you ship?

The countries/regions I can ship to are listed below. A $1/month surcharge helps offset additional postage. I keep this intentionally low to make the club accessible worldwide.

How long does shipping take?

Shipping should take between 5-10 days.

Is tracking included?

To keep the club afforable, tracking is not included. If you haven't received your envelope within 20 days of the 25th, please reach out through the contact form,
